Reindeers in the Snow
I made this little reindeer shadow puppet sequence for “Santa’s Sing-A-Long & Stories” for my brilliant mate Aaron Spendelow (who I worked alongside for in If Not Here… Where?). We had grand plans for a Santa Show with puppets, storytelling, singing and prizes… but our ambitions were shrunken by 2020! So I made this to be featured on a short video that was part of the Once Upon A Children’s Festival
I literally had 3 hours to put it together! I did some very very quick cutting out and whacked together my shadow screen and filmed it! Sometimes something simple is all you need.
Based on a poem called 5 Little Reindeer. You’ll have to imagine the voice over as I don’t have a copy of the video with it on!
Five little reindeer playing in the snow
The first one said, “Can you see my nose glow?”
The second one said, “Listen to me sing!”
The third one said, “I can hear the bells ring.”
The fourth one said, “Let’s eat the pie!”
The fifth one said, “I’m ready to fly.”
Then clomp when their hooves
And the snow fell white
As the five little reindeer flew out of sight”
Merry Christmas and all that!
